The Center

HUB Design and engineering platform is a Rhino Authorised Training Center licenced to teach Rhino3d based software and to hand official certificates. The center is situated at contemporary space in the historic center of Limassol.The space features a number of workspaces aiding collaboration and promoting teamwork. Training classes have a capacity of 6 or less persons to ensure a good content flow and a maximum adaptation of the taught content.

The Trainers

HUB Training center collaborates with experienced, highly skilled personnel involved in both academia and practice in order to provide its trainees with deep and applied CAD software knowledge. Meet them below:

Odysseas Georgiou

Odysseas is an Authorized Rhino Trainer and a Grasshopper 3D specialist.  He’s a computational designer at SEAMLEXITY and a teaching assistant at the [ARC] University of Nicosia. He holds an  MEng from the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and an MPhil in Digital Architecture from the University of Bath where he researched on computational geometry & structural optimisation.  He has practiced at Buro Happold Engineers London collaborating with renowned architectural practices in designing geometrically complex structures.

Michail Georgiou

Michail is an authorized Rhino trainer working with Rhinoceros 3D since the beginning of the millennium. He is an architect, computational designer and an assistant professor at the Department of Architecture [ARC] of the University of Nicosia in the field of Computational Design and Digital Fabrication. He holds a MSc in Adaptive Architecture and Computation from the Barlett and a MArch from NTUA where he is currently pursuing his PhD. His current research focuses in applying computational tools in assisting and enriching design and construction processes. Michail has worked with Foster + Partners in London, as a design architect and design analyst, member of the Specialist’s Modeling Group. He is a registered Architect in ARB/UK and ETEK/Cyprus.

Charis Solomou

Charis is a Freelance Architect and Lecturer at Frederick University Department of Architecture in the field of Digital Design and Fabrication in Architecture.  He holds an MArch from Polytechnic School of Patras. His interests include Digital Design Issues in Computational Design and Fabrication, Parametric Design, Advanced Presentation Techniques focused on Architectural Design Process. He has worked in a number of projects and has been awarded with collaborations in local and international competitions. He was involved in a number of design+make Workshops as an instructor with Architectural academic institutions. He is a registered Architect ETEK/Cyprus, an editor at CY-ARCH digital architectural magazine and member of the management board of Cyprus Architects Association (CAA). He is also an architectural photographer and he works with themes, visions and ideas dealing mostly with architecture, urban spaces and cityscapes, space transformations and interactions between people with the build environment.
